Lisa Timms, survived by her husband John Timms, was born in Nottingham, United Kingdom, worked in real estate and had three children in her first marriage. She immigrated with her first husband to Australia in 1981, divorced and married John in 1983. She worked in Brisbane for welfare rights as a volunteer (quasi-legal position) after training at Queensland University. Later, she had a successful career in real estate. She returned to U.K. in 2015 for family reasons. Her three children have careers in Queensland.
